How much do you charge for shipping?

Shipping is per item and charged at standard Royal mail rates  for UK mainland. You will be notified by email of the  postage costs within 48 hours of your order.

All non UK deliveries are sent via the Royal mail (international signed-for delivery) or Courier/Parcel Force depending on weight. All items will require a signature on receipt and we can provide a tracking number if you believe goods have been delayed. If an item can not be delivered because no one is available to sign for it, you will be notified that it is being held by the courier company or Royal mail (notification will come from them, not us) and it is your responsibility to arrange collection/re-delivery. If an item is returned to us due to non-collection, postal charges will apply to re-send the goods back to you

 

I would like to pay online- why can I not do this?
We have decided that as so many of our customers have vastly different requests, especially for engraving, we like to discuss with you or exchange ideas and thoughts by email. Payment will be discussed at this stage, plus we can then advise you of delivery, as each consignment is different, and we do not wish to overcharge for this service. We hope that you will find this more personal service to your liking.  However we do offer various methods of payment. You may send us a cheque made payable to Astins, you may pay be credit card by ringing us or we will ring you to take details, or you can pay via Nochex which is a payment clearing system simlar to PayPal and very secure.

We would like a brochure, do Astins have one?
Yes, for 2011 we have produced a loose leaf catalogue which carries a small number of products from our range, especially those exclusive to us. This will not carry the full or possible any new additions, and therefore its good to use this in conjunction with the web site. We can also send you pictures of any products not on our web site for sepcial enquiries. Our catalogue is free.

I have seen some web sites where engraving is cheaper than Astins
Yes we have noticed that too, but as in all cases you pay for it somewhere, and we have kept our prices as competitive as possible on the trophies, and are keeping engraving costs as competitive as we can. Always speak to us, for quantity we can help a lot! We also use only the finest engraving materials as we have been informed that some engraving can be light and scratchy.

How do I keep my Astins stainless steel trophy looking in great condition?
Steel can shown finger marks but are easy to remove. If you need to clean using baby oil or even WD40 is quite good, but ensure you use a cloth that is very soft and has no grit in it. Other cleaners available for steel ovens etc will also work well.

I need my trophies quicker than two weeks, can Astins help?
Well we will always try, nothing is cast in stone. If we can help you we will. We have delivered within 24 hours. Should you require an urgent delivery in say less than 7 days, you may need to add £10 to the postage charge

I live outside the UK is that a problem if I wish to order trophies from you?
Not at all, we do deliver all over the world. However, rather than put a delivery price onto our site, we find it easier to ascertain the cost once we know the order size and total, we will then let you know by e-mail. We are constantly deliverying to Europe and Ireland. We have delivered as far as Hong Kong, the United States and the Caribbean. We will always quote costs

I would like special sails designed that are not in your range, can you assist?
Probably. Like all such requests we need to look at the viability of such a request. Why not put it to us

What if I do not like the trophies when I get them?
Well we hope that never happens, it never has yet. However we understand that buying over the internet is not quite like having something in your hand. If you dislike the product that much, return it, we will refund any un-engraved item, but not delivery or engraving. You could always purchase one item to view, and return it if you do not like it.

What about glass ware, I cannot see what I want on your web site?
We can get most glassware for you, and engraved too. We will send you a catalogue FOC, then ring us for more advice and costs. Our supplier will send the item direct to you, takes about two weeks. They are quality suppliers in the North East who have supplied us for over 20 years, they are the best in their field and at a competitive price.

What happens if we have got the engraving wrong and you have already delivered the trophies?
Firstly don’t panic. We can normally sort that problem out within 24-48 hours. Fax us or e mail us with the problem and we will engrave some plates for you and send them to you. You will just pay the engraving costs and P&P, if you are in real trouble, give us a ring, we’ll sort it!

Do you offer discount for quantity?
Normally our price is for smaller orders. But should you wish to place a considerable order, normally 25-50 per item, then we would look generously at this, and offer you a discount.
